June 12, 2019 - Miss NC Laura Matrazzo Grand Marshal for Lucas Oil race
Miss North Carolina, Laura Matrazzo, will make one of her final appearances in that role Thursday night at Fayetteville Motor Speedway.

Matrazzo will serve as the Grand Marshal for the Dunn-Benson Ford/Wayne Gray Sr. Memorial presented by GETSCO.

Fans will be able to meet Matrazzo and pose for photos with her from 5:30 until 9 p.m. at the Dunn-Benson Ford tent adjacent to the track's control tower.

Matrazzo will be joined for the festivities by Abby Britt, the recently crowned Miss Fayetteville. Britt will be competing June 19-22 in Raleigh for the chance to succeed Matrazzo as Miss North Carolina.

Britt will also help fans register for a chance to ride in the track's two-seater Modified during the evening. Devin Moran, who will drive the No. 1 Dunn-Benson entry in Thursday night's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series headliner, will be behind the wheel to take the lucky winning fan for laps in the two-seat Mod.

Moran is fourth in the Lucas Oil national standing entering the 50-lap, $10,000-to-win main event.

"We're happy to have both Miss N.C. and Miss Fayetteville attend the Lucas Oil race," said Kemp Lamm, owner of Dunn-Benson Ford and the Dunn-Benson Motorsports team. "It's just another added element for fans to experience a national race event and meet Miss N.C. and Miss Fayetteville at the same time. We hope all our friends and fans can come out and attend this big event."
