June 6, 2019 - June 13th Lucas Races Adds Major Sponsors
Fayetteville Motor Speedway is pleased to announce that its Thursday, July 13th race headlined by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, will be sponsored by Dunn Benson Ford and GETSCO.

The official name of the event will be the Dunn Benson Ford/Wayne Gray Sr. Memorial presented by GETSCO. The 50-lap main event for the Lucas Oil competitors will reward its winner with a $10,000 payout. There have been 13 different winners in the 14 events at Fayetteville sanctioned by the Lucas Oil tour and its predecessor, the Hav-A-Tampa Dirt Racing Series.

“We’re happy to get a chance to honor the Wayne Gray Sr. family again this year during the Lucas Oil race at Fayetteville Motor Speedway,” said Kemp Lamm, the owner of Dunn Benson Ford and Dunn Benson Motorsports

“The Gray family has a long tradition and presence in the Fayetteville area, and they support not only the racetrack but the local community and have been great friends of the Lamm family for many years. We’re also excited to be able to showcase our new sponsor GETSCO at the event as well. We hope all our friends and fans can come out and attend this event.”

Fayetteville Motor Speedway promoter Jim Long Jr. said, “We want to thank Kemp Lamm and Dunn Benson Ford for its continued support of the track and its major events, and we’re happy to have GETSCO come aboard for this event. This race is the Lucas Oil series’ only appearance in North Carolina each year, and we’re excited to bring events of this magnitude to our facility with the help of sponsors like these.”

Wayne Gray Sr. launched WG Landscaping in 1970, and the firm also offers lot clearing and excavation services. Mr. Gray died Nov. 2, 2013, and his sons — Wayne Jr. and Tony Gray — now operate the business. WG Landscaping is located in close proximity to the speedway, where Wayne Jr. competes in the Diet Mountain Dew Modified division and oversees preparation of the 4/10ths-mile racing surface for dozens of dirt-track events each season.

Dunn Benson Motorsports will, as always, field its No. 1 Ford for the Lucas Oil race. Its driver, Devin Moran of Dresden, Ohio, is fourth in the Lucas Oil standings through 14 of 51 scheduled events nationwide.

Moran’s best outings in Lucas Oil competition this season included a runner-up showing at Brownstown, Ind., on March 16, a fourth at Chatsworth, Ga., on April 6, and a third at 300 Raceway in Farley, Iowa, on May 17. Moran scored his first victory for the Dunn Benson team May 25 in an unsanctioned event at Legit Speedway Park in West Plains, Mo.

GETSCO, a first-year sponsor of the Dunn Benson team, is headquartered in Middlesex, N.C. The company is a leading supplier of agricultural products such as seed, nutrients, herbicides/insecticides/fungicides, greenhouse supplies and more. Chemicals and site work materials are available for construction and road projects. GETSCO is also a supplier of packaging and site work products, and its experienced staff includes specialists in agricultural chemicals, erosion and sediment control, and storm water quality.
